Woven Star Quilt Pattern
This striking Woven Star pattern creates a beautiful 3D optical illusion where a dark "ribbon" appears to weave in and out of a secondary frame. This pattern is based on an 8x8 grid of squares and Half-Square Triangles (HSTs).

2. Cutting Guide
To make a block that is roughly 16" square, use these measurements (includes 1/4" seam allowance):
- Fabric A: Cut 16 squares (2 7/8") for HSTs.
- Fabric B: Cut 12 solid squares (2 1/2") and 12 squares (2 7/8") for HSTs.
- Fabric C: Cut 20 solid squares (2 1/2") and 12 squares (2 7/8") for HSTs.
3. The Layout Grid
Each cell represents a 2" finished square. Follow the orientation of the triangles carefully to maintain the "woven" effect.

4. Assembly
- Make your HSTs: Use the "two-at-a-time" method. Square them up to 2.5" precisely.
- Layout: Lay your blocks out on a design board. Step back to ensure the dark ribbon makes a continuous diamond shape.
- Sew Rows: Sew squares into horizontal rows.
- Join Rows: Nest your seams for sharp points and press the final quilt top well!
Happy Quilting!
