Head

  • With green yarn, make a magic ring and chain 1.
  • Work 6 single crochets into the ring.
  • Pull the ring closed and slip stitch into the first single crochet to join the round.
  • Chain 1 and work 2 single crochets in each stitch around (12 single crochets).
  • Continue working 1 single crochet in each stitch around for 6 rounds.
  • In the next round, work 1 single crochet in the first stitch, then work 1 single crochet and chain 1 in the next stitch. Repeat this pattern around (18 single crochets).
  • Continue working 1 single crochet in each stitch around for 2 rounds.
  • In the next round, work 1 single crochet in the first stitch, then work 1 single crochet and chain 2 in the next stitch. Repeat this pattern around (24 single crochets).
  • Continue working 1 single crochet in each stitch around for 4 rounds.
  • In the next round, work 1 single crochet in the first stitch, then work 1 single crochet, chain 1, and single crochet decrease in the next stitch. Repeat this pattern around (20 single crochets).
  • Continue working 1 single crochet in each stitch around for 3 rounds.
  • In the next round, work 1 single crochet in the first stitch, then work 1 single crochet decrease in the next stitch. Repeat this pattern around (16 single crochets).
  • Continue working 1 single crochet decrease in each stitch around for 2 rounds.
  • Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Eyes (x2)

  • With black yarn, make a magic ring and chain 1.
  • Work 6 single crochets into the ring.
  • Pull the ring closed and slip stitch into the first single crochet to join the round.
  • Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Antennas (x2)

  • With brick yarn, make a magic ring and chain 1.
  • Work 6 single crochets into the ring.
  • Pull the ring closed and slip stitch into the first single crochet to join the round.
  • Chain 1 and work 1 single crochet in each stitch around (6 single crochets).
  • Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Line
